Miniature Georgian Mahogany Fretwork Mirror ArtA delightful Georgian mahogany fretwork mirror of miniature proportions, c. 1800. The original rectangular plate has the lovely detail of rounded top corners and is held within a finely carved gilded slip surrounded by carved moulding. The whole is surrounded by fine fretwork. The plate has desirable level of foxing, highlighting the piece's age whilst the remaining reflective. There is some light wear commensurate with age, most notably a slight gap

The lid and base come apart with ease and stay sealed as they should when closed

The oak cabinet is in its original condition with brass hinges and lock (please note there is no key for the cabinet) and curved dovetail joints
